Jim "Jimmy" Rogers

Jim Rogers has built one of the most accomplished competitive bowling résumés represented within The VD3 Experience a career spanning more than two decades of elite scoring, championship competition, collegiate bowling, national events, and PBA Regional play.

A product of the Howell/Brick, New Jersey bowling community, Jim has repeatedly tested his game against some of the strongest competition in bowling.

His collegiate career took him to Wichita State University, one of the most respected bowling programs in the country. In 2008, Jim qualified for the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships and entered national match play as the No. 5 seed in the country, earning a first-round bye before competing for the collegiate national singles championship.

That same era established Jim as much more than a collegiate standout he also repeatedly stepped onto bowling's national stage through appearances in events including the U.S. Open and USBC Masters, spanning multiple years against world-class professional and amateur fields.

His ability to compete at a high level has continued well into the current era. During the 2024 PBA East Region season, Jim finished 9th at the PBA Howell Lanes Open and followed that with a 12th-place finish at the PBA Fort Meade Open, demonstrating that even after decades in the game, he remains capable of competing deep into professional regional events.

What makes Jim's career especially significant is its longevity. From Wichita State and national collegiate competition to State Masters, USBC Masters, county championships, elite scratch leagues, and PBA Regional events, Jim has spent decades proving that his game travels.

As a VD3 Competitive Athlete, Jim Rogers represents the highest end of what lifelong competitive bowling can look like: extraordinary scoring ability, longevity, adaptability, and the willingness to continually test yourself against better competition.

He has thrown plenty of perfect games. But the stronger story is that after more than two decades, Jimmy Rogers is still competing.
